Movicol is an oral powder used for the management of chronic constipation. It works by helping to retain water in the bowel, which supports softer stools and promotes more regular bowel movements.

Indication
For the treatment of chronic constipation.

Directions for Use
Adults: Take one to three sachets daily in divided doses. For longer term use, one to two sachets daily may be sufficient.
Elderly patients: Start with one sachet daily and adjust according to individual response.

• Dissolve the contents of one sachet in 125 ml of water and drink the solution.
• Any prepared solution not used within 24 hours should be discarded.
• Always follow the instructions provided in the package insert.

Warnings and Precautions
Do not use if experiencing abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting.
Do not use continuously unless advised by a healthcare professional.
Frequent or prolonged use of laxatives may lead to dependence and reduced bowel function.

Discontinue use and seek medical advice if symptoms such as swelling, shortness of breath, fatigue, dehydration, or signs of electrolyte imbalance occur.
Consult a medical practitioner if there is a sudden change in bowel habits lasting more than two weeks.
Stop use and seek medical attention if rectal bleeding occurs or if there is no bowel movement after use, as this may indicate a serious condition.

Storage Instructions
Unopened sachets should be stored at or below 25 degrees Celsius.
Prepared solution should be kept covered in a refrigerator between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius.
